Broadway Clean Sweep - Sunday, May 13th, 2007

The Broadway Spring Sweep took place Sunday, May 13th, 2007. Volunteers from the neighborhood were warmed by free coffee from Starbucks and free bagels from Noah's Bagels. Meeting at the WaMu at 301 Broadway E., Susan Shannon, Director of the OED welcomed the volunteers.

The Sweep began around 9:30am and went from the Kinko's on Roy down to the SCCC campus on Pine. The day ended at the Farmer's Market at East Thomas, where Councilmember Sally Clark thanked everyone for the participation.

Volunteers worked hard to remove trash and keep the Broadway streets clean for all of its residents and visitors.
