BIA ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

Paul Dwoskin, called the meeting to order at 8:05 am

1. Chamber Update

Paul gave brief history and long term goals of the Chamber.  One of the goals is the Chamber will manage the BIA once it is an established and viable Chamber. 

BIA members will pay less than other businesses who don’t pay a BIA assessment.

2. Street Cleaning

The tree pits will be cleaned in January according to the DOC. 

BIA asked CleanScapes for more supervision of workers.  Streets have not been properly cleaned.  The BIA would like a systematic cleaning (a regular schedule) for the sweepers and have supervisors on the street everyday.

The plaque needs to be replaced immediately. And the power washing for the fall has not happened.

Mary will get an RFP for graffiti cleaning

3. BANNERS

Paul asked that we get a banner schedule for the Farmers Market, GSBA, SIFF and the BIA banners.

Mary will get pricing for more Pride banners to be put up in June.

4. GRANT

BIA has not heard from DON about grant.

NEW BUSINESS

Goal for 2007 is getting more business on Broadway involved with BIA Advisory Board.

The next meeting of the BIA Board will be on Thursday, January 18^th, 2007
